The general purpose of the
 Katahdin Scout Radio ARC is to promote amateur radio to Boy Scouts in the Katahdin Area Council.

We have participated in JOTA (Jamboree On The Air) since 1992. What started as a troop event in our backyard, has grown into a council event at Camp Roosevelt in Eddington, Maine.
Every year we erect a "temporary" 100 ft. tower and several other antennas.
On Saturday night we have a potluck supper in the dining hall. All troops are asked to make enough for themselves "plus one". This way we are able to feed ham radio operators that are there at meal time.
